  11. The problem you are having stems from the fact that Color Picker doesn't use
  12. the Palette Manager, since it was written before there was a Palette Manager
  13. and no one has had time to go back and redo it (at least as of 6.0.3; I think
  14. it was changed in 6.0.4, but I don't know if they added Palette Manager
  15. support).  Instead, Color Picker uses the Color Manager to save and restore the
  16. color tables.  This causes temporary havoc with background windows.  If it
  17. wasn't fixed in 6.0.4, I don't know when it will be.  You might submit it to
  18. APPLE.BUGS which will at least keep it on someone's tickle list.
